Cabbala

Cabbala n : sometimes called Kabbalah has two meanings; the first being a body of mystical teachings of rabbinical origin, which are based on an esoteric interpretation of the Hebrew Scriptures. The Cabbala is also known as a secret doctrine resembling these teachings. A traditionally secret esoteric or occult matter [syn: cabala, cabbala, cabbalah, kabala, kabbala].

Candomble

Candomblé (pronounced /kɐ̃dõˈblɛ/)is an African-originated or Afro-Brazilian religion, practiced chiefly in Brazil. The religion largely originated in the city of Salvador, the capital of Bahia. Although Candomblé is practiced primarily within Brazil, it is also practiced in neighboring countries and is becoming more popular worldwide. The rituals involve the possession of participants by Orishas, animal sacrifices, healing, dancing and drumming.

Card Guessing

Card Guessing : is a type of experiment which tests for the presence of ESP. The subject is asked to guess the identity of a series of cards. A variety of card types can be used for this, for example, zenner cards.

Cartomancy

Cartomancy is fortune-telling or divination using a deck of cards. Forms of cartomancy appeared soon after playing cards were first introduced into Europe in the 14th century. Practitioners of cartomancy are generally known as cartomancers, card readers or, simply, readers. Some practitioners have claimed that cartomancy's origins date back to ancient Egyptian times, the art being derived from wisdom given to the ancient Egyptians by the scribe-god Thoth, although this belief is by no means common today.

Cattle Mutation

Myostatin (GDF-8) is a member of the transforming growth factor β superfamily of secreted growth and differentiation factors that is essential for proper regulation of skeletal muscle mass in mice. Here we report the myostatin sequences of nine other vertebrate species and the identification of mutations in the coding sequence of bovine myostatin in two breeds of double-muscled cattle, Belgian Blue and Piedmontese, which are known to have an increase in muscle mass relative to conventional cattle. The Belgian Blue myostatin sequence contains an 11-nucleotide deletion in the third exon which causes a frameshift that eliminates virtually all of the mature, active region of the molecule. The Piedmontese myostatin sequence contains a missense mutation in exon 3, resulting in a substitution of tyrosine for an invariant cysteine in the mature region of the protein. The similarity in phenotypes of double-muscled cattle and myostatin null mice suggests that myostatin performs the same biological function in these two species and is a potentially useful target for genetic manipulation in other farm animals.

Celestial

The term celestial refers to the sky and/or Heaven. An astronomical object is sometimes referred to as a celestial body or celestial object.
Supernatural beings living in heaven, such as divinities and angels can also be classed as celestial.

Celestial Bodies

Celestial Bodies : of the solar system, our planets, stars and galaxies, they are not man made objects, though many have not been discovered yet it doesnt mean they dont exist. Many celestial bodies are used in astrology.

Celestial Heirarchy

Celestial Hierarchy : to understand about the celestial hierarchy it is important to know exactly what an angel is. Briefly it can be described as: a spiritual being that is believed to be much more powerful than a human. In Christian, Muslim, Jewish and other theologies an angel can be one who acts as a messenger, attendant or agent of God.
Regarding the celestial hierarchy, the majority of scholars believe that angels are divided into clearly defined ranks. Depending on the rank of the angel it will have separate honors and duties. One of the most well known listings of the celestial hierarchy, or ranking of angels, is the one produced by the scholar Dionysius the Areopagite. This listing has a total of nine distinct orders of angels which in turn fall under three major headings known as choirs. Although it is common to find variations within all aspects of angology most listings contain the same ranks and the only difference is in the order that they are presented.

Celestial Light

Celestial Light : according to belief, is the sacred light of all ages, The celestial light was but one of the seven precious gifts enjoyed by Adam before the fall and to be granted to man again only in the Messianic time. It is also the halo emanating from certain visions of a mystical nature. However it can only be observed by those who have lived ascetic lives, and when life has almost left the body.

Celestine Prophecy

The Celestine Prophecy : is a 1993 novel by James Redfield that discusses various psychological and spiritual ideas which are rooted in many ancient Eastern Traditions and the New Age movement. The main character of the novel undertakes a journey to find and understand a series of nine spiritual insights on an ancient manuscript in Peru. The book is a first-person narrative of the narrator's spiritual awakening as he goes through a transitional period of his life.

Cereology

Cereology : is the study of the crop circle phenomena. In it’s simplest form a crop circle consists of a single circle, within which all the corn stems are flattened to the ground but not broken, simply bent at their base.
Often the circle has an outer ring whose stems are also bent, but almost invariably in the opposite direction to those within the remainder of the circle. Sometimes the circle is surrounded by an equidistant series of much smaller circles or satellites that may or may not be linked to the principal circle by channels. Other circles may contain narrow rings of unbent stems, sandwiched between the main body of the circle and the outermost ring of bent stems. They mysteriously appear, usually at night in fields of corn or other crops

Chakras

A chakra is a center of activity that receives, assimilates, and expresses life force energy. The word chakra literally translates as wheel or disk and refers to a spinning sphere of bioenergetic activity emanating from the major nerve ganglia branching forward from the spinal column. There are six of these wheels stacked in a column of energy that spans from the base of the spine to the middle of the forehead. And the seventh which is beyond the physical region. It is the six major chakras that correlate with basic states of consciousness...
Chakra are commonly described, as above, as energy centers in the spine located at major branchings of the human nervous system, beginning at the base of the spinal column and moving upward to the top of the skull. Chakras are considered to be a point or nexus of metaphysical and/or biophysical energy of the human body.

Charms

charm, magical formula or incantation, spoken or sung, for the purpose of securing blessing, good fortune, or immunity from evil. It presupposes a belief in demons or malignant spirits. The formula was frequently inscribed upon an amulet, talisman, or trinket to be worn for protection.

Communicating with animals

communicating with animals : People have been trying to communicate with animals for many years. The first step was just the giving of commands, learning animals to do certain tasks when a human says or does something.
But since the rise of science there has been more interest in what animals in fact have to say. For instance, dolphins? are thought to tell loads of interesting stories through their binary code. This clicking is actually thought to be a language.
Furthermore, people have managed to learn apes sign language, through which they can communicate much better with them - even tell jokes!
A structured way to learn to communicate with animals, is speaking with them in their own language. For this you need to observe how animals communicate with each other mostly through body language. That is the difficult bit. Then this needs to be translated in ways for humans of doing/talking the same way. Whispering, this is often called. Horse-whisperers are more and more famous, but you also have your dog-whisperers and everything. I bet most pet-owners have a rudimentary grasp of their animal's language.
So, to communicate with animals doesn't mean to let animals speak like humans do, which was a popular approach in fairy tales and some science fiction, but which is physically and technologically not possible. Instead, the smart ones, we humans, need to take the effort and learn their language

Chinese atrology

Chinese Atrology:This ancient perspective on our modern lives comes from the ancient Oriental art of divination and character reading. The first cycle of this Zodiac was introduced in 2637 BC by Emperor Huang Ti. This 'art form' developed as the Chinese writing system emerged and joined with philosophy. Some fascinating insights into a persons character, lifestyle, and emotional makeup are revealed. The roots of this interpretive art, are based deeply in the classical philosophy of Confucius, Lao-tse and the Yi Jing (I Ching). According to Chinese legend, the order of the twelve signs was determined by Buddha, upon celebration of the Chinese New Year (which falls on different dates, from mid-January to mid-February.)

Cosmotheism

Cosmotheism:Cosmotheism - An all encompassing worldview for White Europeans around the globe. Cosmotheism is a religion which positively asserts there is an internal meaning and purpose in life and in the cosmos. There is an essential unity, or consciousness that binds all living beings and all of the inorganic cosmos, as one. And what our true identity is this: we are the cosmos, made self-aware and self-conscious by evolution. Our undeniable human purpose, is to know and to complete ourselves as conscious individuals, and also as a self-aware species, and thereby to co-evolve with the cosmos towards total and universal awareness, and towards the ever-higher perfection of consciousness and being.

Crisis Apparition

Crisis Apparition:Crisis Apparition : these are visions of persons, who at the time of their appearance are undergoing some form of crisis. For example a severe illness, an injury or even death.
The theory behind this phenomenon is that the afflicted person (the sender or agent), who is either ill or dying, sends out telepathically an image of themselves to someone who has a close relationship with them. It is thought that in general the sender or agent is unconscious or unaware of sending any message. However in the case of a death crisis, where the sender/agent actually dies, this is clearly difficult to verify.

Crop circles

crop circles :Where and when the earliest crop circle occurred is controversial. Some say it was in 1678 in an incident called the ‘Mowing of the Devil'. The legend goes that a farmer's field was visited by a devilish entity that trampled the crops down in a circle. Others believe that crop circles date back to biblical times. Crop circle explanations Many people think crop circles are made by humans. But others argue that some have appeared so quickly, it would be impossible for humans to make them.
Experts have examined the bent grain stalks and the soil inside the circles, and often claim to find anomalies. For example, some say they have found more magnetic iron compounds in the soil inside the circles than outside. However, these results are only meaningful if the examinations are carried out as part of a controlled experiment.
The two principal alternatives to the explanation that crop circles are made by humans are that they are made by extraterrestrials, or that they are made naturally by wind vorticies

Cryptozoology

cryptozoology:Many people mistakenly confuse cryptozoology with the study of mythological creatures. In fact it is a completely different science, being a variant of the more traditional zoology. The word cryptozoology literally means "the study of hidden animals".Cryptozoology has no interest in unreal creatures. Instead it is the study of living creatures that might exist now or have existed once but are not yet known formally. These potential creatures are known as cryptids.

Crystals

crysrals:Crystals have been used over the years to correct imbalances in bones and organs to balance and heal the body. The ancient Egyptians used crystals for healing as did the Chinese, North and South American Natives and the Greek and Roman to name a few.
